Whatever brings you to therapy

Over 20 years of practice I continue to be fascinated by people. Each of us is unique and wonderfully made. Life, genetics and circumstance can beat us around, and sometimes we need psychological care and treatment, just as we do in other areas of our health.

Whatever brings you to therapy, I seek to form a warm and safe relationship with you that helps bring understanding and healing, growth and empowerment.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology). She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.

How I can help

As a clinical psychologist, Jennifer is trained in the assessment and evidence-based treatment of a range of psychological challenges and opportunities.

Anxiety and mood disorders

Including OCD and bipolar disorder: understanding what is happening and responding differently, with evidence-based care.

Health psychology

A special interest: adjustment to illness and injury, management of chronic conditions, and support for people with a cancer diagnosis.

Adjustment and life transitions

Navigating change when the ground shifts under you: new roles, separation, retirement, and the seasons in between.

Grief and loss

Space to grieve at your own pace, and support when loss feels stuck or overwhelming.

Trauma

Careful, paced work to process what happened and restore a sense of safety and steadiness.

Postnatal depression and adjustment

Support through the enormous adjustment of new parenthood, including postnatal depression and anxiety.

Interpersonal issues

Untangling the relationship patterns that cause distress, and building connection and communication.

Life direction

Sometimes it is not a diagnosis, just a season that needs untangling with someone skilled and impartial.

Supervision for psychologists

Jen provides professional supervision to clinical psychologists and clinical psychology registrars. She is well respected for her commitment to the profession and her passion for guiding new psychologists.
